Xeon X5675 vs Core i5-1335U comparison
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-1335U beats the Xeon X5675 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon X5675 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-1335U has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Xeon X5675 has 6 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon X5675 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-1335U. Despite this, the Core i5-1335U has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i5-1335U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Xeon X5675. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon X5675 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
