Xeon X5647 vs Core i3-1220P benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-1220P performs better than the Xeon X5647. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon X5647 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i3-1220P has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Xeon X5647 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon X5647. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon X5647 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-1220P. Despite this, the Core i3-1220P has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i3-1220P outputs less heat than Xeon X5647 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i3-1220P has significantly more L2 cache than the Xeon X5647. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Xeon X5647 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
