Xeon X5570 vs Ryzen 5 7520U specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 7520U is faster than the Xeon X5570. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon X5570 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 5 7520U has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon X5570 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 7520U. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 7520U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 7520U outputs less heat than Xeon X5570 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 7520U has significantly more L2 cache than the Xeon X5570. Despite this, the Xeon X5570 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 7520U.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Xeon X5570 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
