Xeon X5570 vs Ryzen 5 7520U specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon X5570 is faster than the Ryzen 5 7520U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 7520U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 5 7520U has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon X5570 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 7520U. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 7520U has significantly more L2 cache than the Xeon X5570. Despite this, the Xeon X5570 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 7520U.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Xeon X5570 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
