Xeon X5570 vs Phenom II X4 B50 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon X5570 is faster than the Phenom II X4 B50. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Phenom II X4 B50 in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Phenom II X4 B50 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon X5570. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Phenom II X4 B50 has significantly more L2 cache than the Xeon X5570. Despite this, the Xeon X5570 has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Phenom II X4 B50.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Xeon X5570 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
