Xeon X5570 vs Pentium Gold G7400 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Pentium Gold G7400 is faster than the Xeon X5570. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon X5570 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon X5570 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium Gold G7400 that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium Gold G7400 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon X5570. The info from our database shows that the Pentium Gold G7400 has more L2 cache than the Xeon X5570. Despite this, the Xeon X5570 has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Pentium Gold G7400.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Xeon X5570 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
