Xeon X5450 vs Xeon L5520 comparison
In our benchmarks, the Xeon X5450 beats the Xeon L5520 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon L5520 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Xeon L5520 has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon X5450 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon L5520. The Xeon L5520 outputs less heat than Xeon X5450 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Xeon X5450 has more L2 cache than the Xeon L5520
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Xeon X5450 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
