Xeon X5450 vs Xeon E5-440 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon X5450 performs better than the Xeon E5-440. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-440 in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon X5450 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E5-440. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Xeon X5450 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
