Xeon W3680 vs Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G beats the Xeon W3680 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W3680 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Xeon W3680 has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G. Indeed, the Xeon W3680 has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon W3680. Also, the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G outputs less heat than Xeon W3680 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Xeon W3680 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Xeon W3680 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
