Xeon W3520 vs Athlon X4 750K specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Xeon W3520 beats the Athlon X4 750K in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Athlon X4 750K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon W3520 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Athlon X4 750K has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Athlon X4 750K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon W3520. In terms of cache, the Athlon X4 750K has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Xeon W3520
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Xeon W3520 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
