Xeon W-2145 vs Xeon W-2155 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Xeon W-2155 beats the Xeon W-2145 in overall performance. Despite this, the Xeon W-2145 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon W-2155 has slightly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Xeon W-2145 has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-2145. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon W-2145 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon W-2155. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Xeon W-2145 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
