Xeon W-2135 vs Ryzen 7 7730U specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 7 7730U beats the Xeon W-2135 in overall performance. Despite this, the Xeon W-2135 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 7730U has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Xeon W-2135 that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-2135. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon W-2135 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 7730U. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 7730U outputs less heat than Xeon W-2135 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Xeon W-2135 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
