Xeon W-2135 vs Core i5-12450H comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-12450H is faster than the Xeon W-2135. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W-2135 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-12450H has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Xeon W-2135 that has 6 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Xeon W-2135 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-12450H. Also, the Xeon W-2135 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-12450H outputs less heat than Xeon W-2135 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Xeon W-2135 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
