Xeon W-2133 vs Core i7-1260P comparison
In our benchmarks, the Xeon W-2133 beats the Core i7-1260P in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i7-1260P has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-1260P has significantly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Xeon W-2133 has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-2133. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon W-2133 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-1260P. Despite this, the Core i7-1260P has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-1260P outputs less heat than Xeon W-2133 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon W-2133 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
