Xeon W-2125 vs Xeon W3680 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon W-2125 is faster than the Xeon W3680. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W3680 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon W3680 has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Xeon W-2125 that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-2125. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon W-2125 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon W3680. Also, the Xeon W-2125 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Xeon W-2125 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W3680 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Xeon W-2125 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
