Xeon W-2125 vs Core i7-1270P benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Core i7-1270P beats the Xeon W-2125 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W-2125 in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-1270P has significantly more cores than the Xeon W-2125. Indeed, the Core i7-1270P has 12 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Xeon W-2125. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-2125. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon W-2125 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-1270P. Despite this, the Core i7-1270P has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-1270P outputs less heat than Xeon W-2125 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon W-2125 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
