Xeon W-2125 vs Core i3-1220P comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-1220P performs better than the Xeon W-2125. Despite this, the Xeon W-2125 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i3-1220P has significantly more cores than the Xeon W-2125. Indeed, the Core i3-1220P has 10 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Xeon W-2125. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-2125. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon W-2125 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i3-1220P. Also, the Xeon W-2125 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i3-1220P outputs less heat than Xeon W-2125 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Xeon W-2125 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
