Xeon W-10855M vs Ryzen 5 5500GT specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 5500GT is faster than the Xeon W-10855M. Despite this, the Xeon W-10855M has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon W-10855M has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 5500GT has 3 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 5500GT. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 5 5500GT has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon W-10855M. Despite this, the Xeon W-10855M has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Xeon W-10855M CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 5500GT CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon W-10855M has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
