Xeon W-10855M vs Core i7-1265U specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-1265U beats the Xeon W-10855M in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W-10855M in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-1265U has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Xeon W-10855M has 6 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon W-10855M has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-1265U. Also, the Xeon W-10855M has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-1265U outputs less heat than Xeon W-10855M thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon W-10855M has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
