Xeon Silver 4210R vs Xeon W-2133 specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon Silver 4210R performs better than the Xeon W-2133. Despite this, the Xeon W-2133 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Xeon Silver 4210R has significantly more cores than the Xeon W-2133. Indeed, the Xeon Silver 4210R has 10 cores compared to 6 cores found in the Xeon W-2133. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-2133. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon W-2133 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon Silver 4210R. Also, the Xeon W-2133 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Xeon Silver 4210R CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2133 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon Silver 4210R has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
