Xeon Silver 4210R vs Core i5-13450HX benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-13450HX performs better than the Xeon Silver 4210R. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon Silver 4210R in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Xeon Silver 4210R has more threads. Both the Xeon Silver 4210R and Core i5-13450HX have the same clock speed. Despite this, the Core i5-13450HX has a significantly higher turbo speed.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon Silver 4210R has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
