Xeon Silver 4110 vs Core i7-13700F specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-13700F beats the Xeon Silver 4110 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon Silver 4110 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-13700F has significantly more cores than the Xeon Silver 4110. Indeed, the Core i7-13700F has 16 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Xeon Silver 4110. It also has more threads than the Xeon Silver 4110. In terms of clock speed, the Xeon Silver 4110 and Core i7-13700F are identical in this regard. Despite this, the Core i7-13700F has a significantly higher turbo speed.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon Silver 4110 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
