Xeon Silver 4110 vs Core i3-1315U specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-1315U is faster than the Xeon Silver 4110. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon Silver 4110 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Xeon Silver 4110 has slightly more cores than the Core i3-1315U. Indeed, the Xeon Silver 4110 has 8 cores compared to 6 cores found in the Core i3-1315U. It also has more threads than the Core i3-1315U. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon Silver 4110 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i3-1315U. Despite this, the Core i3-1315U has a significantly higher turbo speed.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon Silver 4110 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
