Xeon Gold 6128 vs Ryzen AI 9 365 specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Ryzen AI 9 365 beats the Xeon Gold 6128 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon Gold 6128 in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen AI 9 365 has significantly more cores than the Xeon Gold 6128. Indeed, the Ryzen AI 9 365 has 10 cores compared to 6 cores found in the Xeon Gold 6128. It also has more threads than the Xeon Gold 6128. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon Gold 6128 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen AI 9 365. Despite this, the Ryzen AI 9 365 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen AI 9 365 outputs less heat than Xeon Gold 6128 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon Gold 6128 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
