Xeon Gold 6128 vs Core i7-12650H benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-12650H is faster than the Xeon Gold 6128. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon Gold 6128 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-12650H has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Xeon Gold 6128 has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon Gold 6128. Our comparison shows that the Xeon Gold 6128 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-12650H. Despite this, the Core i7-12650H has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-12650H outputs less heat than Xeon Gold 6128 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Xeon Gold 6128 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
