Xeon E5-520 vs Core i5-3350P comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-3350P is faster than the Xeon E5-520. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-520 in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-3350P has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon E5-520. Also, the Core i5-3350P has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-3350P outputs less heat than Xeon E5-520 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Xeon E5-520 also has slightly more L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Xeon E5-520 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
