Xeon E5-430 vs Phenom II X6 1100T specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E5-430 is faster than the Phenom II X6 1100T. Despite this, the Phenom II X6 1100T has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the Phenom II X6 1100T has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Xeon E5-430 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon E5-430. Our comparison shows that the Phenom II X6 1100T has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E5-430. In terms of cache, the Xeon E5-430 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Phenom II X6 1100T

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Xeon E5-430 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
