Xeon E5-430 vs Core i7-4900MQ specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-4900MQ is faster than the Xeon E5-430. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-430 in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i7-4900MQ has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-4900MQ has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E5-430. The Core i7-4900MQ outputs less heat than Xeon E5-430 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different.
