Xeon E5-430 vs Core 7 150U specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core 7 150U is faster than the Xeon E5-430. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-430 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core 7 150U has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Xeon E5-430 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon E5-430. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-430 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core 7 150U. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Xeon E5-430 has significantly more L2 cache than the Core 7 150U
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Xeon E5-430 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
