Xeon E5-2690 vs Xeon W-2133 comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon W-2133 is faster than the Xeon E5-2690. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-2690 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2690 has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Xeon W-2133 has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-2133. Our comparison shows that the Xeon W-2133 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E5-2690. Also, the Xeon W-2133 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Xeon E5-2690 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2133 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Xeon E5-2690 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
