Xeon E5-2680 v4 vs Xeon W-2145 comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon W-2145 is faster than the Xeon E5-2680 v4. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-2680 v4 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2680 v4 has significantly more cores with 14 cores whereas the Xeon W-2145 has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-2145. Our comparison shows that the Xeon W-2145 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E5-2680 v4. Also, the Xeon W-2145 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Xeon E5-2680 v4 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2145 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Xeon E5-2680 v4 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
