Xeon E5-2670 vs Core i7-13700H benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-13700H is faster than the Xeon E5-2670. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-2670 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-13700H has significantly more cores with 14 cores compared to the Xeon E5-2670 that has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon E5-2670. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-2670 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-13700H. Despite this, the Core i7-13700H has a significantly higher turbo speed.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Xeon E5-2670 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
