Xeon E5-2670 v2 vs Core i7-1370P comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon E5-2670 v2 performs better than the Core i7-1370P. Despite this, the Core i7-1370P has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-1370P has slightly more cores than the Xeon E5-2670 v2. Indeed, the Core i7-1370P has 14 cores compared to 10 cores found in the Xeon E5-2670 v2. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-2670 v2 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-1370P. Despite this, the Core i7-1370P has a significantly higher turbo speed.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon E5-2670 v2 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
