Xeon E5-2667 v4 vs Core i7-1260P specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-1260P beats the Xeon E5-2667 v4 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-2667 v4 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-1260P has significantly more cores than the Xeon E5-2667 v4. Indeed, the Core i7-1260P has 12 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Xeon E5-2667 v4. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-2667 v4 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-1260P. Despite this, the Core i7-1260P has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-1260P outputs less heat than Xeon E5-2667 v4 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon E5-2667 v4 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
