Xeon E5-2667 v2 vs Core i7-12800H comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E5-2667 v2 is faster than the Core i7-12800H. Despite this, the Core i7-12800H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-12800H has significantly more cores with 14 cores whereas the Xeon E5-2667 v2 has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon E5-2667 v2. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-2667 v2 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-12800H. Despite this, the Core i7-12800H has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-12800H outputs less heat than Xeon E5-2667 v2 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Xeon E5-2667 v2 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
