Xeon E5-2650 v4 vs Xeon W-2135 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E5-2650 v4 is faster than the Xeon W-2135. Despite this, the Xeon W-2135 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2650 v4 has significantly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Xeon W-2135 has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-2135. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon W-2135 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E5-2650 v4. Also, the Xeon W-2135 has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Xeon E5-2650 v4 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2135 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Xeon E5-2650 v4 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
