Xeon E5-2650 v3 vs Ryzen 5 5560U specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 5560U is faster than the Xeon E5-2650 v3. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-2650 v3 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2650 v3 has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 5560U has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 5560U. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 5 5560U has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E5-2650 v3. Also, the Ryzen 5 5560U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 5560U outputs less heat than Xeon E5-2650 v3 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon E5-2650 v3 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
