Xeon E5-1650 v4 vs Ryzen 5 5600 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 5600 is faster than the Xeon E5-1650 v4. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-1650 v4 in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-1650 v4 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 5600. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 5600 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 5600 outputs less heat than Xeon E5-1650 v4 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon E5-1650 v4 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
