Xeon E3-1241 v3 vs Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U beats the Xeon E3-1241 v3 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E3-1241 v3 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U has significantly more cores than the Xeon E3-1241 v3. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Xeon E3-1241 v3. It also has more threads than the Xeon E3-1241 v3. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E3-1241 v3 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U outputs less heat than Xeon E3-1241 v3 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Xeon E3-1241 v3 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
