In our benchmarks, the Xeon E5-1620 v4 beats the Xeon E3-1230 v3 in overall performance. Despite this, the Xeon E3-1230 v3 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds.
