Xeon E-2276M vs Core i7-1165G7 comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon E-2276M performs better than the Core i7-1165G7. Despite this, the Core i7-1165G7 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E-2276M has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Core i7-1165G7 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-1165G7. Our comparison shows that the Xeon E-2276M has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-1165G7. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. The Core i7-1165G7 outputs less heat than Xeon E-2276M thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon E-2276M has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
