Xeon E-2186M vs Xeon W-2133 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon W-2133 is faster than the Xeon E-2186M. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E-2186M in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon W-2133 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E-2186M. Despite this, the Xeon E-2186M has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Xeon E-2186M CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2133 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon E-2186M has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
