Xeon E-2176M vs Xeon Silver 4110 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E-2176M is faster than the Xeon Silver 4110. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon Silver 4110 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Xeon Silver 4110 has slightly more cores than the Xeon E-2176M. Indeed, the Xeon Silver 4110 has 8 cores compared to 6 cores found in the Xeon E-2176M. It also has more threads than the Xeon E-2176M. Our comparison shows that the Xeon E-2176M has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon Silver 4110. Also, the Xeon E-2176M has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Xeon E-2176M CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon Silver 4110 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon E-2176M has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
