Xeon E-2146G vs Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E-2146G is faster than the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E-2146G has slightly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G has 5 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon E-2146G. Despite this, the Xeon E-2146G has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G outputs less heat than Xeon E-2146G thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon E-2146G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
