Ryzen Z1 vs Core Ultra 5 135U specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core Ultra 5 135U performs better than the Ryzen Z1. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen Z1 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core Ultra 5 135U has significantly more cores with 12 cores compared to the Ryzen Z1 that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen Z1. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen Z1 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core Ultra 5 135U. Also, the Ryzen Z1 has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core Ultra 5 135U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen Z1. Despite this, the Ryzen Z1 has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core Ultra 5 135U.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen Z1 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
