Ryzen Z1 vs Core i5-14500T benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-14500T beats the Ryzen Z1 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen Z1 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-14500T has significantly more cores with 14 cores compared to the Ryzen Z1 that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen Z1. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen Z1 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-14500T. Also, the Ryzen Z1 has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i5-14500T has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen Z1. The Core i5-14500T also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen Z1 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
