Ryzen Z1 Extreme vs Core i9-14900F benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i9-14900F is faster than the Ryzen Z1 Extreme. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen Z1 Extreme in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i9-14900F has significantly more cores than the Ryzen Z1 Extreme. Indeed, the Core i9-14900F has 24 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Ryzen Z1 Extreme. It also has more threads than the Ryzen Z1 Extreme. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen Z1 Extreme has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i9-14900F. Despite this, the Core i9-14900F has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i9-14900F has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen Z1 Extreme. The Core i9-14900F also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen Z1 Extreme has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
