Ryzen Threadripper 1950X vs Core i5-10600KF benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X beats the Core i5-10600KF in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i5-10600KF has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X has significantly more cores than the Core i5-10600KF. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X has 16 cores compared to 6 cores found in the Core i5-10600KF. It also has more threads than the Core i5-10600KF. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-10600KF has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X. The Core i5-10600KF outputs less heat than Ryzen Threadripper 1950X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-10600KF. The Ryzen Threadripper 1950X also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
