Ryzen Threadripper 1920X vs Xeon W-2155 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Xeon W-2155 beats the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has slightly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Xeon W-2155 has 10 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-2155. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon W-2155. Despite this, the Xeon W-2155 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Xeon W-2155 outputs less heat than Ryzen Threadripper 1920X thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
