Ryzen Threadripper 1920X vs Core i9-9900 comparison

In our benchmarks, the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X beats the Core i9-9900 in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i9-9900 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has significantly more cores with 12 cores compared to the Core i9-9900 that has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i9-9900. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i9-9900. Despite this, the Core i9-9900 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i9-9900 outputs less heat than Ryzen Threadripper 1920X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i9-9900. The Ryzen Threadripper 1920X also has significantly more L3 cache.
