Ryzen Threadripper 1920X vs Core i5-11600KF benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X performs better than the Core i5-11600KF. Despite this, the Core i5-11600KF has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has significantly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Core i5-11600KF has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-11600KF. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-11600KF has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X. Also, the Core i5-11600KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-11600KF outputs less heat than Ryzen Threadripper 1920X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-11600KF. The Ryzen Threadripper 1920X also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
